Salka, a young trans woman, has been at sea with her dad and his crew for days, hunting merfolks to sell at fish markets in Vik. As she starts questioning the ethics of that market, and whether what she’s been told about mermaids is true, she sets one free and hells breaks loose.
When the crew members start dying one by one and the ship is caught in a storm, Salka will be rescued by the monsters she’s hunted for years, but the cost of survival might be her humanity itself.
